15th Jan 2o12- Brighton City College Under 19s Team win Zone 7 Regional Finals!

Congratulations to Alex Jackson, George Tester, David Pringuer and Paul Bergin for winning against teams from Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire to qualify for the National Regional Finals in Bournemouth on Feb 25th.

Dave won 8/8 and played like Ma Long

Paul and George 6/8 (George especially rising to the occasion and winning the important games)

Alex did well at number 4 making up numbers and winning 4 ends within games.

Regulations

Players must complete registration form prior to play
All matches will be best of 3 games played up to 11 points
Initial play will be in large group format
Bands A, B and C will be based on ability
Players will be required to umpire matches within their own group

Event Information

Registration & practice from 7.30pm
Events start at 7.45pm (please arrive ready to start)
Balls will be supplied and bats if required
Light refreshments will be available at the venue
Parents are very welcome to stay and watch
Any one wishing to take photo’s please inform organiser

Could Ping Pong be the new Karaoke?

Ping Pong in bars and pubs the latest craze.

Table Tennis in Brighton bars is proving to be amazingly popular and generating a lot of interest. Pubs that have replaced Pool with Ping Pong regularly have up to 40 people playing ’round the table’ and all sorts of tournaments and leagues are being set up across the city.

We will be compiling an up to date list of all the Brighton Bars and Pubs with Table Tennis facilities.
