Free Coaching sessions starting 17th April..

Sportivate gives participants aged between 14 and 25 the chance to receive eight weeks of free coaching in a sport of their choice. And if you choose table tennis, Brighton Table Tennis Club is the club to go to!

From 16 April 2012, we offer four sessions a week for you to pick from.

If you are 18 and older join us at the brand new Brighton Sports Centre (link to http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl behind Brighton Sports Centre) on Tuesdays between 8 and 10pm. Next to the Amex station, a five-minute walk from Falmer station, on the University of Brighton campus.

14 to 18 years old join us at Brighton Youth Centre (link to http://www.brightonyouthcentre.org.uk/ behind Brighton Youth Centre) in central Brighton on Mondays between 7 and 9pm or Fridays between 7.30 and 9pm.

We are also offering sessions at Patcham High School for 14 to 16 year old girls (Tuesdays between 3 and 5pm) and for 14 to 16 year olds participating in weight management programmes (Thursdays 3-5pm).

London 2012 Fundraising Raffle

Our fundraising raffle raised over £1000 and made a lot of people very happy! Big thanks to Jo and Nick Turrell for their efforts in getting it all together.

The money raised is being put towards 48 amazing tickets for young Ping Pong stars to go to the London 2012 Olympics to see some of the Table Tennis and gain vital skills. 

Tickets will be allocated to club members in the run up to July.

The Brighton League is a local Junior event that has been running since 2008 collaboratively between clubs and schools across Brighton. It allows junior players to compete against players of a similar ability in three separate ability bands.

Band A

With just a handful of matches left for the season, Brighton City and Brighton Uni teams have had a very successful season in the Brighton League.

Brighton City A have a 12 point cushion at the top of the Premier division and the Junior development within the club has been helped massively by the young up and coming players of the future competing against experienced opposition. One year in the league makes such a huge difference to a player’s game.

We are hoping to add more young teams to the league next year. See below for latest tables and averages.

Congratulations to Alex Jackson, George Tester, David Pringuer and Paul Bergin for winning against teams from Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire to qualify for the National Regional Finals in Bournemouth on Feb 25th.
